chase and i have managed to play golf every afternoon this week. it's been great because we rarely get to play together. we had to fight off some raindrops and a little lightning every single day, but we managed to get in an average of 9 holes before it got too dark to see the ball.
i decided to take my camera one day because i've never seen what my swing looks like. it's a thing of beauty.
ronnie, if you're reading this...check out my club position at the top of my swing. am i a poster child for the cover of golf magazine or what?? seriously, wouldn't you rather see this....
i thought so!! i got chase in action, too. his backswing doesn't go as far back as mine (and tiger's), but i guess that doesn't matter much since his score is always better than mine!!
here's the problem. i can't putt worth a durn. i don't know what the problem is. my dad can putt with the best of them and has so much touch around the green. i didn't inherit any of that. maybe it skipped a generation and william and wes will be able to putt.
here's chase lining it up for par.
on #9, there's a monstrous tree on the right side of the fairway. my balls are like magnets to that tree. i could turn around backwards and tee the ball up toward the green on #8, and my ball would do a 180 in mid-air and still manage to hit that tree. so, for all intents and purposes, that tree is smack dab in the middle of fairway. but the good thing is that even though i hit that stinking tree every time, wherever it comes down is 99% of the time going to be in a spot that i can get on the green with my next shot. except for tuesday...
gonna be a tough up and down from there!
so, now after a week of playing, i've got the golf bug. if anybody wants to split a babysitter and go play one morning a week....call me. or if you want to be the babysitter, that will work too!!
