mama and daddy have lost their minds.

but you have never seen boys more excited than these!!

as you can tell, even the little one thinks these bunk beds are the coolest thing ever.

they couldn't be pulled away from them the day that we got them.  all that climbing and excitement made for an easy bedtime!!

sweet dreams!!

pumpkin hunting

it seems like everybody has a pumpkin patch post these days.  i went with william's class to blue mountain this morning, so here is our pumpkin patch post!!  there's not much narrative needed for these pictures, so i'm just gonna let them speak.  but, can i get an amen for the beautiful (not cold) day?!?!  it was perfect!!

until next year...

listening

i sat by this guy today in church.

and when we got home, he was able to tell me what the sermon was about through his picture notes.

granted...he's the only one who is able to decipher it, but at least it's a start!!!

happy birthday, chase!

with lemon ice box pie and a chocolate cake,  you should be fat and happy for a while!!

of course, all those helpers did a number on your desserts, so maybe not.  i'm sure they'll be glad to fix you something else sweet, though!!

my only child

a few weeks ago, reed was with the grandparents and william was at school.  so wes was my only child for the day.  it was fun because i rarely get to have an "only child," and if i do...it's never wes.  so, i let him plan the day.  he wanted to go eat lunch and then feed the ducks at the park.  easy enough.

ready to break bread for the ducks...

right off the bat, he attracted these cute little guys...

they call him the duck whisperer...

i don't know if i've mentioned on here before or not, but i hate birds.  i don't mind looking at them through my window, but i don't want to get near them.  they seem dirty and ready to attack at all times.  so, yes, i threw my 3 year old out there to fend for himself against the those ugly tur-duck-eys.  at least that's what we call them.  i just stood back and took pictures.  wes didn't mind!

but i was more than happy to head for the playground equipment!

here's to hoping for more days with "only" children!!  :)
