ok...so we didn't really change our latitude that much, but going about 6 hours south to the beach was a week full of fun for all of us. despite the weather forecast that said it was going to rain the whole week, we had nothing but sunny skies to play under for the duration of our stay. the little people were for the most part perfect traveling companions, they shared a room beautifully (which we had never tried before, but will again in the future), chase apparently found his golf game down there, and we ate lots of good food after hours in the sun every day.
i know y'all probably aren't interested in ALL of these pictures, but i wanted them in my book that i print out at the end of the year. so...
family pool pic...even though neither little person is interested in the camera
fun on the indoor slide...(there are no pics of the outdoor slides because mama had to be at the top or in the pool at the bottom)
first day in the sun...
cosmo's is one our favorite places to eat. they have outdoor seating with jimmy buffet type music. the little people love to dance, and william got to play the drums and the wind chime thingy which he thought was awesome...
not a bad way to spend your 35th wedding anniversary...
we hit the beach after supper to fly kites and find shells...
please ignore the belly...
one of the most favorite parts of the trip...
another day in the sun...
william had been saying before we even left home that he wanted to eat lobster at the beach. i don't know where he got that idea from, but one night at cobalt's i let him share my lobster pasta with me. he scarfed it down and gave the lobster 2 thumbs up! forget grilled cheese for him!
checking out the fish tank after supper...
dancing yet again to the music man...
we could seriously do this pool stuff all day, every day...
before we went to eat one night, we went to ride go karts. it's a slight obsession of william's.
and obviously, wes likes it too!
a little arcade action...
playing on the playground at sun roc cay...
tossing poppa's pennies into the fountain...
and finishing off the night with ice cream...
chillin' with some goldfish out by the pool...
and hanging out in the lazy river on the last day there...
when we got in the car to come home, chase and i both said that we didn't want to leave. william wanted to "just live at the beach," and wes wanted to "go fwim." next year, we may have to make it a 2 week vacation!!
