i mean...peace and quiet should happen somewhere because it's sure not happening over here!

four boys and a train
it probably would have been a little more decorated had half of the candy not been eaten in the process of decorating!! and i'm wondering how long it's going to sit on the counter before all of the decorations disappear!!

christmas rundown
on christmas eve, we spent the afternoon playing the wii. even my grandfather got in on the action and showed us how to box!
it was great fun until reed decided to get the stomach bug. poor kid. we made use of that good feeling right after you throw up to open our one present on christmas eve. new pjs for everybody!
reed went to bed early, and the others roasted marshmallows to make s'mores for santa. and themselves!
the reindeer didn't leave our house with an empty belly. william and wes made sure to sprinkle reindeer food ALL over the yard.
and after a good night's sleep, they waited at the top of the stairs and came down together to see what santa left for them.
they didn't waste any time getting down to business!
these two were mucho excited about their snakes.
and william got his beloved buzz!
they took a break to check out the snow before checking out their stockings! it was still coming down!
after looking at the loot in their stockings,
we decided to take the fun outside! what a fun break on christmas morning!
then we warmed up with hot chocolate, breakfast, and a birthday cake for jesus!
and since we hadn't even gotten around to the presents under the tree, we hit those next.
reed showing off his shot.
after all the playing (and recovering from the stomach bug), reed was slap worn out!
the rest of us felt pretty much the same way! however, this white christmas was really beautiful. i think i'm going to ask santa for one every year!!
merry christmas, everybody!

white christmas
for the first time ever (at least in my life), we woke up to a white christmas. it was the coolest thing to look out the window at 6am and see everything covered in snow with a blizzard (at least by mississippi standards) going on!!
how fun to get to do this on christmas morning!!
hope everybody had as much fun as we did!! merry christmas!
more pics to follow....

christmas in jackson
when you get this whole crew together, it's loud. fun, but loud.
and when the tree looks like this, it gets them even more wired.
you can bet there was no shortage of help when it came to opening presents.
everybody got what they wanted and then some!
and once again, i failed to get any pictures of adults. oh well. we were there...honey's empty refrigerator can prove it. as much as we ate, i hate to see what it's going to look like in 10 years when all these people are teenagers. she may need to start cooking now!
