i was cooking supper one night, so i looked over to find big brother helping little brother with homework.  and, then i overhear the words "infinitive" and "that's just the beauty of the english language."  he was also showing him how to diagram sentences on the back.  i think we may have gone a little overboard for a 2nd grade language sheet.

wes had to choose an important citizen for an upcoming project.  he chose dr. ireland.  good choice!

as i was unloading groceries, i turned around and found a dog walking into the kitchen from the den.  not my dog, mind you.  abe was outside looking in the back door wondering what on earth was going on.  i have no idea how or when my neighbor's dog got in the house (or how long she had been inside), but at least she's friendly! :)
