pumpkin patch(es)

it's safe to say that i know my way around every pumpkin patch in north mississippi.  i'm still baffled at how there can be so many.  i'm thinking i could set one up in my backyard and make a little money.  i  definitely think i'm qualified, and it would save all these schools some driving time!  plus, a putt putt course in my backyard would absolutely be awesome.  however, i will be forgoing the petting zoo.  i see no need for goats.

last week, reed pretended like he was a kindergartener and went with wes' class on their trip to the pumpkin patch.

earlier this week, reed pretended to be a first grader and went on william's field trip with him to the pumpkin patch.  a different one.  i mean, there's about 30 to choose from.  this was actually my first trip to this one in fulton, and i have to give them props.  they had cool "toys," but they still had the goats.  and a donkey.  somebody tell me...why do petting zoos seem like good ideas?

so now we have a few more pumpkins to add to our crotons on the porch, and reed is back to being a 3 year old.  and i'm done with petting chickens and goats until next october.  win-win!

I'm with you on the petting zoo. I can't get past the smell- obviously I've not spent much time on a farm.
However, I think a putt-putt golf course in your backyard sounds like a fine idea! Love your pictures, by the way!
