when you are in desperate need of a haircut,

you leave pictures on mama's phone to remind her!  thank goodness for spring break and the time to go.  everybody's head is about 4 pounds lighter today!

piggy pals

3rd grade has gone a little off the deep end this year, i think.  they have decided that projects are the cool thing.  we do not think they are very cool over here, but we do like when they are finished!!!

piggy pals cereal (about charlotte's web)

magnetism posters (it's easier and more fun to do with a friend....along with foosball breaks!)

we've already done a pizza box about ronald reagan, so hopefully we are finished with the projects for the year.  my kids are already on the summer countdown, so i don't know how much more they can get out of us!!  we are waiting on you, may!!

deer camp

with the coming of spring (although i'm still waiting on the cold weather to go away), deer season came to an end.  the little people didn't get to go as much they would have liked because of weather and basketball, but they enjoyed what time they did spend at deer camp.  i was sent pictures of live deer that were 80 yards away that they refused to shoot, but they never sent me any pictures of dead deer because they were waiting on a buck that wouldn't show!!  oh well.  here's to time spent with poppa (and BR) in the woods!  maybe next year!

wes' basketball

wes finished up basketball last month as well.  fortunately for him, one of his friend's moms carries her camera everywhere and always takes pictures.  i'm going to need to just drag her around to my other kids' activities.  oddly enough, we found out this year that wes can jump.  who knew?  ha!  it was a fun season, but i'm happy for the break from those early morning games in starkville and columbus.  until next year...

reed's basketball

chase coached reed's basketball team this year.  i was on the bench keeping up with the subbing (which is a full time job)!!  so, i only have one picture from the entire season that a friend sent me after one of their games!  reed grew a lot over the season, and he really does understand the game quite well.  it's pretty fun to watch a game with him and hear him talk about the illegal screens or how somebody should have rolled.  but, it's time to move on, and if we could get it to quit raining......we could get on the tennis court!

saturday in starkville

we picked a beautiful, sunny (finally) day to hang out in starkville.  it was a little breezy in those tennis bleachers, but blankets and a dominating win helped out!  the baseball field is awesome, and the boys were looking good at their scrimmage!  come on, spring!

hymn festival

william participated in the keyboard festival again this year.  be still my soul was his hymn of choice, and he rocked both the arrangement and the hymnal version where the room sang along!  two superiors.

and, then one of the judges came up afterwards and asked for a copy of his arrangement.  so, i'd say he did a good job!  :)
