merry christmas!

reed's been busy

reed has been kind of busy this last week!

he started out making a gingerbread house at school...

at least once a day he can be found stalking the tree and figuring out who has new presents...

he was the stir helper for the double batch of grandmother's boiled custard...

and, like wes, he loves to give presents.  i found him in his room with two rolls of wrapping paper, tape, and scissors.  he was taking books off of his bookshelf and wrapping them up for his brothers.

let's just say that his giving spirit is way better than his wrapping skills!

my partner, gwen, and i have been chasing that elusive 64 for a little bit, and we finally got it....just in time for christmas!  we kept wanting to end the year on a good round, so we were happy to store the clubs for the winter after a showing like that!  maybe we will still have it when the spring season rolls around!

thanksgiving beach trip

before christmas gets here, let me back up and give props to the previous holiday...

the entire henson clan converged in florida over thanksgiving break to take over rosemary beach.  we stayed in a new place this year, and we all loved it.  it was within walking distance of everything.  minus the stomach bug that sidelined us for a bit, it was a blast!  we can't wait to do it again!

star of wonder

the 1st through 3rd grades put on their christmas play "star of wonder," and reed was the moon.  he did a fabulous job acting sleepy, and he totally nailed his one line!!  (if you are going to get a part in the play, that's the kind of part to get!  smart boy!)

but he could obviously do without the sitting around and singing part of it!!  ha!

maybe we'll gather up some enthusiasm before next year!
