 Reed has followed all the rules and patiently counted down the days.  He's now got a metal free mouth and a pretty smile!

More indoor track

 While we were in Jackson with William for the USTA awards, Reed was back in Birmingham setting mile PRs for indoor track season. 

Post race lunch always brings a smile!

USTA MS awards

 William was awarded the USTA Mississippi Educational Merit Award, and we had lunch at River Hills to celebrate. 

William, Gavin, and Lucas were the junior boy winners for the year. 

Last one

 William participated in his very last hymn festival. You think he’d have it down by now, but did he show up without any music?? Yes, he did. There were 6 people in his group. They were all girls, and none of them forgot their music. I’m just saying. Nevertheless, he got superiors on everything, and played a very nice rendition of All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name along with classical pieces and hymns and sing-a-longs. He added more and more stuff each year! 

Iced in

 We got the yucky winter weather….lots of ice. So much ice. And the temperatures wouldn’t help out either, so we were stuck at home for a solid week. Lots of Catan was played, and all the food was eaten!! And, snowmen weren’t possible, so they played ice golf. All windows survived. 

And, if you want a lesson on what not to do - 

Don’t try to run your windshield wipers when they are frozen because you’ll bust stuff up! William learned this $300 lesson.

 Reed joined his Harrisburg friends for DNow Weekend again this year. Lots of fun and not much sleep!

The giant sandwich

 Wes gave me a giant Chick-fil-a chicken sandwich puzzle for Christmas. It was the hardest puzzle to ever come through the door. Every piece was chicken colored except for the pickles! Nobody usually enjoys helping me do a puzzle, but they were all in on this one. We even finished it by flashlight when the electricity went out right when we got to the end! 

Indoor track

 We started out the new year in Birmingham with Reed at our first ever indoor track meet. It was insane how they kept that thing running. There were around 20-25 heats in each event, and runners were everywhere! PR in the mile!
