first day

 school gets earlier and earlier every year, and this year (just like all the other years) nobody was happy about going back.  but, they did manage to smile a time or two on the first day!

 beach trips don't look quite the same as they used to.  we still spend our fair share of time in the sand and waves, but we manage to hit up all the nearby golf courses as well.  as a bonus, we found a seafood market on the way home from one of them that turned out to be our favorite meal of the week!  and, of course we had to make sure everybody got mad on the putt putt course! :)

rome, georgia, has the best tennis facility!  the downtown is pretty cool, the old houses on the hill are awesome, it has my favorite mediterranean restaurant, there are lots of pickle ball courts, and there's an old civil war and ww1 cemetery that chase hasn't explored yet.  we will be back!

happy 12!

reed turned 12, and here we are already on the verge of having nothing but teenagers.  that was fast!!  he is so easy going and so easy to celebrate!  he was super happy with his own phone, a poker set, a mount for his room,  and his cookie cake!

we rented out the simulator and he got his two best buddies, weston and john coley to come play all the games. they had a blast!

victory ranch

 camp was a little different this year.  reed's typical camp buddy couldn't go due to a broken arm, so he found another friend to sign up last minute and go with him.  since drop off was drive-thru only, i wasn't able to go in and get pictures.  thank goodness for the camp photographer!  and, there were lower numbers due to covid.  none of this fazed them.  they were all smiles even with all the changes!  although i feel pretty confident saying that nobody at this house cares about riding horses!!  ha!  we are thankful for this fun break during the summer!!
