WW2 museum

 we have heard such good things about the WW2 museum, so we took a little road trip to new orleans to check it out.  the history buffs at our house loved it!  

we stopped at ed's in hattiesburg for lunch.  burgers and milkshakes never disappoint!

we hit up cafe du monde of course.  they loved it, and there was powdered sugar everywhere to prove it!

each theater of war in the museum was so well done.  we stayed ALL day.  

we got our fill of new orleans and filled up with lots of good food!

we stopped in starkville on the way home to catch a bulldog win!  it was a quick but very fun road trip!

hunker down

 they can act like tornado alley is in kansas, but they are lying.  it's right here in tupelo.  these sirens go off all the live long day.  and night.  and these three know exactly what to do! get in the tornado room, try to keep abe from having a heart attack, and when Matt the weatherman says it is 5 minutes away....put your helmet on.  

district 4H shoot

 reed participated in the district 4H shoot this spring.  we traveled to west point, and i'm not sure how my car is not still stuck in the mud there.  i didn't get the memo that we needed a 4WD vehicle to participate, but it would have come in handy!  

reed was supposed to shoot sitting down with a brace, but he and the girl beside him have never been taught that way.  their instructor just taught them to stand up and shoot like normal people, so that's what they did.  

only 14 (15?) year olds can advance to state, so this is as far as we could go.  we'll see how the next few years go! 

spring crawfish

 these people can eat their weight and then some in crawfish.  dr. jim was second guessing inviting us, i'm sure!  but, we sure enjoyed it!

they do love each other
