msu weekend

we managed to see the next to last baseball game of the season and the very last basketball game of the season for the bulldogs.  (stupid coronavirus) however, it was the perfect weekend to be in starkville.  we saw a walk off win in baseball and then walked over to the hump to beat ole miss by 25.  we will take it!!

the boys didn't sit with us because chase and i sat in the handicap section with his bum leg.  weston was the 4th henson for the day.  his mama gave him some money for concessions.  they had already eaten supper, but when he walked up after the game....he was loaded down.  proof that money just burns a hole in their pockets!

all smiles after the ole miss beat down!

it's going to be a long few months without msu sports of any kind, but at least we went out on a high note!

achilles

valentine's day was very exciting around here.  chase and william went to the bubble to play a doubles match, and that's the last time that chase will play tennis for a while.  he sent me a text around 9pm that said he'd torn his achilles.  i didn't believe him.  he wasn't lying!

it sure does work out well to have doctor friends, though.  he went straight from the courts to the clinic for a boot and pain meds.  surgery was the next morning to repair it.  it's been slow, and life hasn't been the same.  but, we are making progress little by little!

the scooter is gone, and the boot is here to stay for 2 months, but at least he's on two feet now.  valentine's would have worked out more in his favor if he'd spent some money on taking me out to eat instead of playing tennis.  just sayin'!  maybe next year!  :)

almost 2 weeks

that's how long a 5 pound hershey bar lasts at our house.  one of the golf carpool mamas is a hershey rep, and she gave all the boys one of these bars.  wes and reed were not disappointed to see william walk in the house with this thing!

it's that time

the spring season has arrived.  it hasn't always felt like spring, and it's been wet more than not....but tennis is here.  and, we are making the most of it.  the little people have played in jackson, meridian, and tupelo, and we are ready for more!
