halloween

it was a last minute decision to make a loop around the neighborhood and grab some candy, so these three scrounged up some costumes and went out for a bit to fill their bags.  i think halloween may be on the way out in their minds.  i'm not sure if that makes me happy or sad, but i sure won't mind if somebody wants to stay home and hand out candy next year!

surgery

reed had surgery at the beginning of november.  he took an elbow to the lip, courtesy of his brother, back in august.  a cyst formed in that spot and had to be removed.  he was not the slightest bit nervous and did fantastic!

it took a while for anesthesia to wear off!

being a boy, he thought it would be a good idea to remove his stitches about 8 hours post-op...

which resulted in us going back to get him stitched up again (nothing can ever be easy around here)!

 the next day (mental deficiency kicked in again), he thought dodge ball would be a good idea.  that resulted in the inside stitches busting, but i just let that go since nobody could see that anyway.  and, then i told him that he had to sit completely still for a several days until all the stitches dissolved!!  thank goodness we are on the other side of it!  all is well now, but i do know that the next time he has stitches, i am going to tell them to cast both of his arms as well!!!

reed and brody caught a huge catfish on #15 at the golf course!  it took the both of them to reel it in!

chase celebrated his birthday with cupcakes!

william and price won the 14s doubles in southaven. 

william won the 14s singles in southaven.  sydney won the 16s consolation.

wes won the 12s in southaven. (reed won the consolation in the 10s, but i guess nobody got a picture!  way to go, reed!)

but, he did finish 3rd in memphis a few weeks ago!

this was a huge milestone......reed ate frozen yogurt.  AND, he liked it!  TCBY for the win.

wes had a field trip to dismal's canyon in alabama.  after hiking out west, he was not impressed, but it was the perfect day for a field trip!

reed was featured in the lifeway art show for his rendition of a house and trees and sky during the fall.

now, maybe i can get back to regular posts that make sense!!  :)

ryder cup

all the people at our house were fired up and ready after the first session of the ryder cup this year.  we had a scoreboard on the mantle, and we were in full out america mode before leaving for school.  however, that didn't last long!  nothing good happened after that first session, and we went on to lose yet another ryder cup on foreign soil.  oh well.....we will be ready in two years!

tennis and zombies

a few weekends ago, we had our north mississippi junior team tennis fall tournament.  wes and his buddies brought home the title for the 12s.  it was freezing out there, but they didn't seem to mind!  it was the first time they had ever received fidget spinners as an award!!  ha!

they had fun hanging out all weekend.  i guess it was a backwards hat lunch?

and then they celebrated jax and whit's birthdays with pizza, cake, paintball, and zombies.  or actually, the paintball part got rained out, but they made it work!!

it was a perfect boy weekend!!
