all you really need this time of year...

is a pair of shades and ice cold beer (or a capri sun).  and a place to sit somewhere near.....the water.

yes, i do.  those durn great grandparents.  they always have money for the piggy bank, jelly beans, or  something sweet.  :)

front row seats

it's always fun when they start doing dirt work on the new house that is being built right by ours.  especially when the little people will sit outside for hours watching the dump trucks come and go and the bulldozers flatten it out.  seriously...hours. 

all that was missing was some popcorn.  

an afternoon of entertainment

not for the frog, mind you.  he's probably told all of his frog friends to stay far away from our yard.  we'll probably never see another frog anywhere near here again.  i guess we'll have to make do with worms.

it's that time of year again.

and we don't try to hide the redneck in us.

the boys and i went to wally world today and picked up our afternoon of entertainment.

and poor reed could only watch.
